Two arrested on suspicion of arson after football club fire

Police have arrested two people on suspicion of burglary and arson after a fire at Broomfield Football Club during the early hours of Sunday.

A 21-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, both from Boreham, were arrested at around 6pm last night.

The man has been released on police bail pending further enquiries until August 5, while this morning the woman remains in custody.

Police are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to contact them at Chelmsford police station 101.
