A motorist has been trapped in his car after it crashed into a ditch in Burstall road this morning.

The driver, a man thought to be in his 40s or 50s, was said to be conscious and breathing after his black Sazuki left the road shortly before 8am.

Suffolk Constabulary said that an ambulance was on the scene and fire crews had also been called to free the man.
