Woman followed by man.

A man followed a woman as she crossed a road fives times to avoid him.

The woman, in her 30s, was walking along West Road towards Petticoat Lane, Bury St Edmunds, between 6.30am and 6.45am yesterday morning.

The man followed the woman along the road, approximately one foot behind her, as she crossed the road five times.

He met her in the middle of the road and asked her why she was avoiding him.

The woman knocked on the window of a passing car to get help and the man ran off.

The offender is white, in his 20s, of medium build and around 5ft 7ins or 5ft 8ins tall, and he had short fair/blond hair shaven at the sides and longer on top.

He was wearing a white polo style top with Umbro on the chest, dark denim jeans and dark navy trainers with red and white on them.

Anyone with information should call PC Kelly Evans at Bury Police quoting BU/14/1563, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
