A police helicopter was called to Bury St Edmunds last night to investigate reports that a child had been seen outside screaming for their mum.

The incident in Oakes Close, on the Howard Esate, was reported to police just after 1am.
The helicopter did not find anything, but a police spokesman said the incident was not being treated as a hoax.
