West Suffolk Magistrates' Court

A man accused of assaulting a woman and threatening to set her west Suffolk home on fire is due in court today.

Dale Roberts, 26, from Tollgate Lane in Bury St Edmunds was charged yesterday with assault and threatening to damage property, in relation to an incident on Saturday, August 16.

A woman in her 20s was reportedly punched and kicked outside her home in Bury St Edmunds by a man who then threatened to burn her house down.

Police issued a wanted appeal on Roberts on Saturday, August 30, in relation to the alleged domestic assault incident. He was arrested yesterday (Tuesday) in Ipswich.

He was detained in police custody overnight and is due at Bury Magistrates Court today.
