Two men arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman in Bury St Edmunds have had their bail extended.

The suspects, who were aged 22 and 49, who were detained after the death of 38-year-old Tracey Hammond in Anselm Avenue had been due to answer bail today.

However Suffolk Constabulary has said the men have now been re-bailed until February 19, pending further enquiries by its major investigation team.

Detectives have been investigating the circumstances surrounding Ms Hammond’s death since her body was found at her flat on the morning of October 27.

Following the initial Home Office post mortem the cause of death was unascertained.

Further tests have been carried out, but officers are still awaiting the results.
