The Easter bunny has visited hearing impaired children at a Bury St Edmunds school after they took part in a drawing competition.

The Hearing Care Centre’s Easter bunny popped in to Westgate Community Primary School on Friday to hand out chocolate Easter eggs to the youngsters at the hearing impaired unit. Their drawings have been made into a colourful window display at the Hearing Care Centre’s base in Upper Brook Street, Ipswich.

Catriona Rankin, Teacher of the Deaf at Westgate Primary, said: “Seeing the world through the eyes of a hearing impaired child enables you to be part of their awe and wonder as they take in all that is around them. When they only hear tales about the Easter bunny it is simply magical when he appears life size before their very eyes.

Karen Finch, managing director of hearing specialists the Hearing Care Centre, said: “It was fantastic to see the big smiles on their little faces.”
