Three people have been arrested in connection with drugs offences after police stopped and searched a car in Bury St Edmunds.

Officers carrying out routine observations stopped the vehicle on the A14 westbound off-slip to Rougham Road in Bury St Edmunds at around 1.20pm yesterday.

A search was carried out and drugs were seized.

A 29-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply. A 41-year-old woman along with a 36-year-old man were both arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

All were from the Bury St Edmunds area. They were bailed to return on Wednesday, September 3, pending further inquiries.
