Woman injured after car collides with police vehicle


A woman has been taken to hospital after her car was involved in a collision with a police car in Bury St Edmunds.

The crash in Mustow Street happened at 8.37am this morning. However, the fire brigade was not called until 9.14am, when they cut the roof off the woman’s black Honda Civic to release her.

The woman was released into the care of the ambulance service and taken to hospital with minor injuries to her neck and back.

The police car was on an emergency call at the time of the collision.
