The Oyster Inn in Butley has welcomed Keith Groom, formerly of the Southwold Pier restaurant, to its team.

Pub owner Judi Newman said: “We are very excited to have found Keith who shares our enthusiasm for local Suffolk food producers.

“We are very fortunate in Butley to have so many fantastic food suppliers on our doorstep and Keith is keen to make the most of them.”

Mr Groom has already devised a new menu that Mrs Newman said had been “keenly welcomed in the village”.

“Given the pub’s location, lots of our customers work on the farms that surround us,” she added.

“They tell us that they love seeing their own produce on our menu - it is a genuine field-to-fork journey.”
