A car has ended up on its roof following a crash in Sudbury this afternoon.

Police were called to the scene, in Cross Street, at around 3.30pm today, Wednesday, April 4.

Two fire engines, from Long Melford and Sudbury, were sent to the scene to help rescue three occupants from a vehicle.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said those involved in the collision were out of the car and had suffered only minor injuries.

She said: “We were called shortly before 3.30pm following reports of a collision in Cross Street in Sudbury.

“Initially it was reported as a single vehicle collision with the side of a house.

“There are not thought to be any serious injuries at this stage.

“All the people are now out of the vehicle.

“The vehicle had rolled over onto its roof.”

The road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene but was reopened at around 5.55pm.
