A local woman was waiting to drive into a vacant parking bay when a dark Mercedes 4x4 drove at her vehicle, stopping suddenly, as if pretending to ram her vehicle.

The driver shouted and swore at the victim telling her to move her car before driving round to reverse back towards her. He then parked and went into the supermarket.

The incident happened at Asda at Chelmer Village at about 3.30pm on Monday, February 3.

Anyone who can identify the man in the CCTV images should contact the investigating officer, Pc Benjamin Williams, at Chelmsford Neighbourhood Crime Team on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
