A top gardener says Writtle College in Chelmsford was his gateway into gardening.
Alan Power, head gardener at Stourhead, Wiltshire, studied the National Diploma in Amenity Horticulture at Writtle College in 1993.
“Writtle gave me a gateway into horticulture and in turn set me up for my life ahead. My time there was fun, exciting, hard work, inspiring and varied,” he said. “The basics I gained then still help now.”
