Fire crews have dealt with incidents in Essex


A woman was cut free by firefighters from the wreckage of a two-vehicle crash in Chelmsford today.


Two fire engines were called to the scene of the collision in Roxwell Road shortly before 2.30pm.

An Essex County Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said crews used specialist cutting equipment to free a woman trapped in a vehicle.

Paramedics treated her at the scene.

She did not suffer injuries thought to be life-threatening, an East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said.


A man who fell from a roof in Suffolk was airlifted to hospital this morning with potentially life-threatening injuries.
