Flood warning issued for Chelmsford

The Environment Agency have issued a flood warning for riverside properties in Chelmsford including the cricket ground.

The status came into effect on 7.23pm this evening. On the Environment Agency website it said: “The peak of the river is now near Beaches Mill. River levels are likely to continue to rise, especially in the areas of Admirals Park and Central Park. Over the next six hours the forecast is for light rain.”
