A soldier has been charged with burgling and criminally damaging Chelmsford Mosque.

Liam King, 22, from Eastwood Park in Great Baddow, was arrested on December 18, and has now been charged.

He is currently on police bail until his appearance at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on April 19.

The mosque was found to have been damaged on November 24.
