Clacton: Police seek gang of five knife-wielding burglars

A GANG of five burglars wielding knives and a meat cleaver have forced their way into a house in Clacton and threatened the occupant.

The gang, all aged in their late teens, targeted the property in Orwell Road on Monday at 6.30pm and escaped with cash and two mobile phones. The occupant was unhurt.

Detective Sergeant Daniel Jeffries said: “We would like to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time or can provide any information around these men. Also, we are seeking any information around a small red car and a black Ford Focus that was seen in the area at the time of the incident.”
