POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 72-year-old man was hit by a van in Clacton and sustained serious injuries.

The pedestrian was hit at about 1.15pm on Friday, January 4, by a white Seat Inca van – he is currently at Queens Hospital, Romford.

The incident happened in Cloes Lane, near the mini roundabout with St John’s Road.
