Three men who barged their way into a house in Clacton before threatening the occupants with a small ‘sword-type weapon’ and making off with expensive items are being sought by police.

The owner of the property in Elm Grove discovered the men at about 11pm on June 20.

After threatening him and his wife, they searched a bedroom and stole several watches, including two Rolex watches, designer belts, cash, a PS3 and Samsung TV.

There were two black men and one white man involved in the aggravated burglary – they all had their faces covered with scarves.

The black men were aged between 20-25 and one of them was about 6ft, of medium build.

The white man is a similar age and was of a large build and wearing a grey hoody.

Dc Lee Winfield, who is investigating, said: “I want to hear from anyone who knows who is responsible. I also want to hear from anyone who is offered the items above to buy.”
