Clacton: Cash and cards taken from handbag and purse stolen from house in North Road

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Clacton.

Someone entered the house on North Road on June 15 between 1am and 6.15am via an unsecured window.

A handbag, purse, pocket diary and a black BC5i mini mobile telephone handset were stolen.

The handbag and purse were later found in nearby Highview Avenue but banks cards and cash were removed.

Investigating Officer Pc Emily Chapman said: “I’m keen to speak to anyone who might have seen or heard anything suspicious in the North Road and Highview Avenue area between those times.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Pc Chapman at Clacton CID on 101.
