Detectives in Clacton are appealing for information after an attempted burglary.

It happened between 7.30pm on Wednesday and 10.30am on Thursday at a property in Washford Gardens.

Damage was caused to the property’s rear conservatory doors but no-one got inside and nothing was stolen.

Det Con Louise Nellist, of Clacton CID, said: “If anybody witnessed any suspicious activity in the area please get in touch. I would also remind residents in the area to be vigilant and to ensure their properties are secure.”

Anyone with information should call Det Con Nellist on 101.
