Clacton: Witness appeal following serious sexual assault

DETECTIVES have appealed for information following a serious sexual assault on a woman in Clacton.

The incident happened at an address in the Agate Road area between 2am and 4am on Sunday, November 18.

The woman and a female friend had enjoyed a night out in Clacton and were making their way home from Wahoo nightclub when they were followed by two men.

One of the men is suspected of assaulting one of the women, who was badly shaken, but not injured.

The men were both white and in their early 20s. One was about 6ft 2in, of slim build and with dark hair. He was wearing a pink or red polo shirt and jeans.

The second man was about 5ft 6in, also of slim build and with short dark hair and a slight moustache. He was wearing a checked shirt, possibly red or blue and blue jeans.

Anyone who saw the women being followed from the club, or anyone who can identify the men should contact officers from the North Sexual Offence Investigation Team on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
