Firefighters in gas-tight suits carried out tests at a suspected “chemical incident” in Coggeshall this morning.

Two crews from Colchester and Halstead and another from Braintree attended Churchfield Road at around 10.20am.

No chemicals were found and the site was declared safe by noon.
