DETECTIVES have released an e-fit of a man thought to have committed a street robbery in Colchester.

The attack happened as a 23-year-old woman was walking along Highwoods Square shortly after 12.30am on Sunday, November 18. She walked past two men who had been sitting on an electricity box when one barged into her shoulder, causing her to fall to the floor. One then stole her handbag and both fled.

Investigating officer, Dc Andrea Ford, said: “Both of these men had been smoking cannabis before the woman walked by. We would ask people to take a good, close at this efit and contact us with a name.”

Both men, including the one pictured in the e-fit, are described as being in their late teens and about 5ft 7ins tall.

Anyone with information call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
