Crews have extinguished a fire at a home in Colchester.
Firefighters were called at around 5pm to Peace Road in the town yesterday.
Appliances from Colchester arrived at the scene where crews found the house to be completely smoke logged.
Breathing apparatus was worn when firefighters entered the property and a hose reel was used to extinguish the fire.
The blaze was under control by about 5.40pm.
A positive pressure ventilation fan was then used to clear smoke from the house.
