Firefighters in Colchester were called this afternoon to free a man trapped in a metal chair.

Crews were called to Thaxted Walk at around 2.20pm where they used specialist cutting equipment to free the man.

With extra help from the ambulance service, the man was released from the chair shortly before 3pm.
