A man has been hit by car in Colchester

Two schoolboys were yesterday in hospital after being hit by a car outside a Colchester school.

The crash happened at about 3.30pm in Mill Road, where a silver Mercedes B-Class collided with the boys, who are thought to be brothers.

Paramedics assessed the children at the scene before taking them to hospital. Their injuries were not thought to be serious.
