A man has been charged with three offences following an assault at Colchester.

Police were called to East Hill at 3am on Friday May 10, 2013 after a man suffered a hand injury during an altercation.

Maxwell Adutwum Takyi, 19, of Elmstead Road, Colchester, has now been charged with wounding with intent, causing criminal damage to a car and with the theft of a pair of trainers.

He was bailed to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on January 28.

Two other men, aged 19 and 22 and both from Colchester, who were arrested on suspicion of assault, have been released from their bail without charge.
