A man has appeared in court today after being charged with the murder of Tom Brittain at Colchester.
Unemployed Andre Vella, 19, from Village Close, Kirby Cross, has been charged with the murder of Mr Brittain, 26, who died after being stabbed at a flat in Colchester at around 1.45am on Saturday March 9.
He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court this morning and was remanded in custody to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court tomorrow.
Detectives have issued a new photograph in a further appeal to find the second man wanted in connection with this murder.
Jack Hummerstone is 18, and originates from the Clerkenwell area.
Detective Chief Inspector Anne Cameron of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, who is leading the investigation, said: “If anyone knows of Jack Hummerstone’s current whereabouts they should not approach him but call 999 urgently.
