Two men were robbed at knifepoint after they were lured into a flat under the premise of buying a car.

The men went to an address in Prettygate Road, Colchester at around 6pm on Monday.

They were escorted into a flat where they had their mobile phones and wallets taken from them at knifepoint. The victims suffered minor injuries.

Police are looking for anyone who has information about a silver Volkswagen Golf which may be connected with the address, as well as about three dark-skinned men, all aged about 30 and of medium build with short dark hair.

Anyone with information should contact DS Daniel Jeffries at Colchester CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
