Colchester: Police release efit of woman connected to theft

Police are appealing for assistance in identifying a woman depicted in an efit.

A man in his 60s was hassled by a group of four people through Colchester town centre on November 2 after withdrawing some money from a cashpoint at around 3pm.

He was followed from Long Wyre Street, through Red Lion Walk and in to St Nicholas Street before they ran away. He then noticed a four figure sum of cash had been stolen from a bag he was carrying.

At one point a woman barged in to him, probably allowing one of the others to steal the money.

Anyone who is able to identify the woman is asked to contact Pc Dan Smith at Colchester area investigation team on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
