A RUNAWAY car rolled down a hill in Colchester before crashing into a lamp post, this morning.
The accident happened in North Hill shortly after 9am.
A spokesman for Essex Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews were called by police after a runaway car rolled down North Hill and crashed into a lamp post, damaging the head.”
Maintenance engineers were called to the scene to remove the head of the lamp post left dangling after the impact.
