Thousands of pound of jewellery and cash were stolen during a burglary in Colchester.

The break-in happened when thieves removed the front panel of a rear uPVC door at a house on Brinkley Lane, near to its roundabout junction with Derwent Road in the Highwoods district, between 4:30-7:15pm on Friday, February 7.

The inside of the property was ransacked approximately £2,000 worth of jewellery and cash was stolen
