THREE women were arrested following a daytime brawl in Colchester town centre this afternoon.

Police were called to Headgate, at the corner of Head Street and St John’s Street, at about 4pm on Monday.

A fight had broken out between five women outside Zizzi’s restaurant.

Three women have been arrested on suspicion of assault.

A 22-year-old, 24-year-old and 19-year-old woman, all from Colchester, have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Witnesses are urged to call PC Adam Tyhurst at Colchester police station on 101.
