Colchester: Two fire crews put out fire in flat overnight

Firefighters were called to an incident in Colchester just after 2am last night.

Two crews were sent to Maidenburgh Street where there was a fire in a ground floor flat.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used a single hosereel to put out the fire by 2.30am.

They then used a high-pressure fan to clear the flat of smoke.
