A WOMAN has pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving in a road crash near Tiptree.

Rebecca Price 29, was driving a Ford Ka which was in collision with a Ford Ranger at Kelvedon Road, Inworth at 5.30pm on Monday December 12, 2011.

The front seat passenger in the Ka, 25-year-old Charlie Punter from Vicarage Court in Colchester, died.

Price, of Wilson Marriage Road, Colchester, admitted the charge when she appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court today. The hearing was adjourned for pre-sentence reports and sentencing will be on a date to be confirmed in December.
