Traffic was at a standstill on the A12 at Witham earlier this evening following reports that a car had hit the central reservation and rolled onto its roof.
According to the AA, the crash happened at around 9pm tonight, Friday, December 22, on the A12 northbound between junction 21, B1389 Hatfield Road, and junction 22.
An AA traffic post said: “The vehicle has hit the central reservation and then landed overturned in the middle of the road.
“The emergency services are reported to be on scene.”
A spokeswoman from Essex Police control room said the road has now reopened but would not give any information on whether anyone had been injured in the collision.
