Detectives link a pair of burglaries by gang of men in West Suffolk

Two to five men forced their way into homes in two raids in Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket being linked by police.

A group of men forced open the back door of a home in Hervey Road, Bury St Edmunds, around 8.10pm yesterday and forced their past the elderly victim.

At 9.30pm, people in a house in Falmouth Avenue, Newmarket, disturbed two men on the upstairs landing.

It is not known if anything was stolen in either case. In both the suspects wore scarves across their faces with dark clothing and hats.
