Two fire crews from Dovercourt were sent to the scene in Main Road, Upper Dovercourt, after smoke was reported to be billowing out of the property at about 7.45pm on Tuesday.

Firefighers at the scene reported that the first floor of the building was heavily smoke logged.

The crews used two hose reels to bring the fire under control just before 8.50pm.
