A piece of ordnance has been removed from a wildlife reserve in Dunwich.

Aldeburgh Coastguard was called to assist the Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal team, from Colchester, at Dingle Marshes at about 7.45pm yesterday.

The disposal team removed the item and the area was declared safe.
