Thieves have stolen clothes and boxes of shoes from a lorry on the A12 in an overnight raid in Suffolk.

Between 10 and 20 boxes of assorted shoes and items of clothing were seized from the lorry parked in a layby on the dual carriageway close to Woodgates Road in East Bergholt.

It took place between 2am and 4am on Wednesday, a Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said.

The spokesman said no further details of the stolen items are known.

Witnesses are urged to call police on 101.
