STAFF and pupils at a high school are counting the cost after burglars stole eight iMac computers.

The Apple computers - which retail at between �1,000 and �1,7000 - were stolen from the music department at East Bergholt High School between 9.30pm on Thursday and 7.30am the following morning.

Mr Colin Turner, headteacher said. “Both staff and students are devastated by this incident. The stolen equipment was part of a major refurbishment of the Music department at the school to enhance facilities for our students.

“However we are fortunate that no student work has been lost.”
