East Anglia: Free coach to Livestock Event in Birmingham from Norwich mart
06:00 22 June 2014
East Anglian farmers will be able to travel free of charge to the Livestock Event at the Birmingham NEC next month.
Event organiser, RABDF Events, supported by the Livestock Auctioneers Association (LAA), is offering free coach travel on purchase of an online ticket for £20, the same as gate price, from Norwich livestock market, on Wednesday July 2, the first day of the two-day event.
LAA executive secretary Chris Dodds said: “Norwich centre is among 34 UK marts which, following last year’s successful first time venture, is pleased to once again team up with RABDF to offer a departure venue for free coach travel to the event. It’s an offer which provides farmers with the opportunity to visit and enjoy a top class agricultural event, without the worry and cost of trying to arrange their own transport, by being picked up from and dropped back at their local auction mart.”
RABDF chief executive Nick Everington said time at the event, the biggest of its kind, would be time well-invested.
“Livestock Event features over 450 exhibitors, 50 technical and business seminars and technical demonstrations including robots in feeding and milking – a world first at an event, and test driving the latest 4 x 4s and UTVs, enabling all farmers to gain the latest technical and financial advice and make more timely business decisions, all in one place on one day. Coach travel saves on expensive diesel allowing some relief cover, so farmers can get away for a much needed break with their partners and friends.”
