Three people have been rescued from two vehicles when they crashed in north Essex.

Crews went out to Drakes Lane, near the junction with Boreham near the village, at around 1pm.

The East of England Ambulance Service had already sent out response teams including four ambulances and a rapid response vehicles.

An ambulance spokeswoman said: “We attended a two-vehicle collision involving two males and two females in one car and three generations of a family in the other. The most seriously injured was a lady, believed to be in her 60s, who had a possible pelvic fracture. She has been taken to Broomfield Hospital. Other patients had minor injuries, including neck pain.”

A mother and baby in the second car were unhurt in the crash and were taken home by other family members.

Firefighters used cutting equipment to release the three people by about 2.20pm.
