People are still urged to hand in unwanted or unlicensed firearms. The appeal ends on Sunday, November 26.

A total of 129 firearms were collected in last year’s two-week appeal.

An Essex Police spokesman said: “We are asking you to hand in to us any unwanted or unlicensed firearms you have to stop them from falling into the wrong hands.”
