Essex Fire and Rescue were called to two early morning fires

FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a fire at student accomodation on the University of Essex.
Crews from Wivenhoe, Clacton, Brightlingsea and two units from Colchester, attended the fire in a ground floor flat in the Harwich Block at 2.29am today.
Once the flames were out firefighters used a high pressure fan to clear the building of smoke.
The incident was dealt with by 2:55am.
No one was thought to be injured in the incident.
A few hours later, at 6.09am, a crew from Colchester and one from Tiptree were called to a house fire in Wellesley Road, Colchester.
The incident was dealt with by 6.25am.
