Essex: Firefighters extinguish flat blaze

FIREFIGHTERS were scrambled to a flat fire in Colchester on Thursday afternoon.
Two crews from Colchester were mobilised to the scene in Maldon Road when the alarm was raised shortly before 4.40pm.
The fire was in a ground floor flat and it was extinguished just after 5.10pm.
