Kay Phillips was believed to be in the company of Richard Frost, 35, who police wanted to speak to about a stabbing in Chelmsford.

Ms Phillips, 26, and her five-month-old son were found safe and well by police at a relative’s house in Chelmsford yesterday evening, December 3.

Last week police officers issued an appeal for Mr Frost, who is believed to have been at the scene of an incident at Chelmsford in which a 17-year-old boy was run down by a car and stabbed twice.

The victim remains critically ill in hospital. A 25-year-old man was struck a glancing blow by the car but was unharmed.

The incident took place in Dorset Avenue at about 10.15pm on November 21.

Since then two men have been arrested in connection with the attack.

During the evening of Monday, December 2, a 35-year-old man from Chelmsford was arrested at a police station in the county on suspicion of attempted murder while a 22-year-old man was arrested at his home address in the Thurrock area, also on suspicion of attempted murder.
