An overturned car is causing long tailbacks on the southbound carriageway of the M11.

One lane is blocked on the London-bound road between junction 9 for the A11 at Saffron Walden and junction 8 for Stansted Airport and the A120.

Queues are reported to be three miles long.

The car, a red Peugeot 306, is the only vehicle involved in the incident.

Paramedics are treating a male in his 60s but his injuries are not thought to be serious.
