The girl was walking home and was near the Philip Avenue junction when she noticed a man leaning against a vehicle. He then approached her and tried to talk to her.

She continued walking but the man followed her for a short distance and kept trying to get her to talk to him.

He is described as black, of skinny, gaunt appearance and was wearing a grey hooded tracksuit top, a black baseball cap and carried a black shoulder bag.

He watched the girl walk away and she then ran home to report the incident.

Police are asking the man, or anyone who knows him or has information, to call Pc Nicholas Black at Felixstowe on 101, quoting crime reference FE/14/686.
